Ronald E. Canakaris, CFA
Mr. Canakaris joined Montag & Caldwell in 1972 as a portfolio manager and research analyst. In 1973, he became Director of Research, and in 1984 was promoted to President and Chief Investment Officer of the firm. From 1997 through 2005, he held the role of Chief Executive Officer. He was elected Chairman of the Board effective January 1, 2006. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of Montag & Caldwell, Mr. Canakaris edits its quarterly Economic & Investment Outlook, and he is frequently quoted in the business and investment press. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta. His professional affiliations include the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Atlanta, former Trustee.
Janet B. Bunch, CFA
Ms. Bunch joined Montag & Caldwell in 1973 and currently serves as portfolio manager. Ms. Bunch also serves on the Board of Directors for Montag & Caldwell. Her professional affiliations include the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Atlanta, former Trustee and past President.
Sandra M. Barker, CFA
Ms. Barker joined Montag & Caldwell in 1997. She has been a research analyst since 1980, following a variety of industries. Prior to joining Montag & Caldwell, she was an analyst with Interstate/Johnson Lane, a Southeastern brokerage firm, and with a New York money management firm, Eagle Capital Management. Her professional affiliations include the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Atlanta.
Mark C. Hayes, CFA
Mr. Hayes joined Montag & Caldwell in 1992 as a member of the company’s information technology department. In 1997 he transferred into the Research Department with a focus on the technology industry. In the community, he serves as a member of the Board of Heritage Preparatory School of Georgia. His professional affiliations include the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Atlanta.
Andrew W. Jung, CFA
Mr. Jung joined Montag & Caldwell in 2001 as a research analyst. Prior to joining Montag & Caldwell, he was an analyst at Strong Capital Management, following the financial services sector for several large cap growth funds, and at the Robinson-Humphrey Company in Atlanta, where he followed banks and thrifts. His professional affiliations include the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Atlanta.
M. Scott Thompson, CFA
Mr. Thompson joined Montag & Caldwell in 1992 upon graduating from the University of the South with a degree in Economics. His professional affiliations include the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Atlanta, former Trustee.
Piper L. Burnette, CFA
Ms. Burnette joined Montag & Caldwell in 2000 and currently works as an analyst in the Research Department. Her primary area of coverage is Healthcare. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Finance. Her professional affiliations include the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Atlanta.
Jeffrey S. Wilson
Mr. Wilson joined Montag & Caldwell in 2005 upon graduation from Wake Forest University and currently works in the research department. While at Wake Forest, he earned a bachelors degree in finance as well as a masters degree in accounting. Prior to joining the firm, Jeff participated in the company’s internship program during the summer of 2003 in addition to internships at PricewaterhouseCoopers and KeyBanc Capital Markets in 2004. Jeff is an affiliate member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Atlanta as well as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois.
