Mr. Watson joined Montag & Caldwell in 1999 and serves as portfolio manager and is a member of the Large Cap Growth Investment Policy Group. Prior to joining Montag & Caldwell, he served as a senior portfolio manager with Merrill Lynch Investment Management, managing private and institutional portfolios, and he was a portfolio manager for SunTrust Banks, Inc., and the company’s Trusco Capital Management subsidiary for twelve years. Past affiliations include membership on the Educational Content Committee of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE); the Professional Qualifications Committee of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB); and past member of  the Mississippi State University Foundation Board of Directors. His current professional affiliations include the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Atlanta.
